How it all started...
In June of 2002 several families were motivated to start a new non-denominational church where spiritual needs would be met and the love of Jesus shared. The church began in a tent on Father's Day 2002. By the next week, the congregation moved to Damon's Restaurant in Fairlawn. Damon's allowed the church to use the Sports Bar each week and even gave us the use of their projection screens for worship. By February of 2003, the church needed a bigger gathering place and found the Ridgewood Party Center in Sharon Center to be very accommodating. Moving the church to the Ridgewood Party Center allowed us more room for growth and gave extra space for Student Classrooms. Over the next year as we continued to grow there was a constant search for a permanent facility or land to purchase that would allow us to build and continue our growth and mission. As we prayed for God's guidance in leading us to a new location, we discovered the church at 1825 Reimer Rd was being sold. The building was purchased and became the home to many of our outreaches and mission of serving our community. In 2019, the leadership felt God's leading to change the name of the church from Key To My Father's House to Discover Church. We believe Jesus is the priority in this journey and through His leading we desire to be a light to Discover God, Discover Purpose and Discover Community.
